Governor Abiodun Meets Buhari on Renovation of Federal Roads
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja on Friday.
The governor, in a post on his social media, said he was warmly welcomed by Buhari this afternoon.
Their discussion, he said, centered on the overall socio-economic development of Ogun State, with particular emphasis on road infrastructure and how the federal government could step up intervention and support for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads under its jurisdiction.
Abiodun said the visit was also aimed at briefing President Buhari on the progress made so far on the Agro-Cargo airport being built by his administration.
"This afternoon, I was at the State House, Abuja, where I was warmly received by President Muhammadu Buhari
“Our discussion focused on the overall socio-economic development of Ogun State, with a particular focus on road infrastructure and how the federal government can scale up response and support for reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads under its jurisdiction.
"It was also a way to update the President on the progress made so far on the Gateway International Agro-Cargo International Airport under construction by our administration, among others since his last visit."
