Governor Aliyu is well prepared for governance — Shettima

As part of the celebration of 100 days in office of the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima described the Governor of State of Sokoto, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, as someone who really prepared for governance before emerging as Governor of the State.

The vice president said this on Sunday evening during the ceremony to lay the foundations of 500 housing estates in the Kalambaina region of Sokoto.

The housing estate is one of several projects planned to celebrate the 100 days of Governor Ahmed Aliyu's administration in the state.

He said the governor's previous post under the administration of Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, which includes the commissioner for works, health and a former deputy governor, really got him helped in his current role as governor.

While commending former governor and leader of the state's All Progressive Congress, Aliyu Wamakko, for developing such a candidate for state governor, the vice president revealed that the country is currently experiencing a deficit of around 28 million as today.

He described the former governor not only as a leader of the state, but of the entire North as well as Nigeria as a whole.

He congratulates the governor for embarking on many projects with a human face, including the completion of projects inherited from the previous administration of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, which includes an upper bridge.< /p>

Speaking earlier in his speech, State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto said his administration, as part of the celebration of his 100 days in office, had decided to lay the groundwork for a 500-unit housing development in the state. .

He said the housing estate was part of former Governor Aliyu Wamakko's initiative before he left office, but was abandoned by his successor.

“This development was initially initiated by our leader, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, when he was the governor of the state.

“The project including the subdivision of the Kalambaina crossroads was, however, abandoned by the previous administration.

"Once completed, the housing should be handed over to state officials to alleviate their housing problem"

The governor, however, revealed that the 500 units would consume over N7.3 billion.
