Guber poll: Vote for the candidates who will improve Kaduna's fortunes – CAN to Voters

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kaduna State Chapter has called on eligible voters in the state to vote for leaders who will improve the fortunes of the state and make it safe and prosperous in the governorship and the House of Assembly on March 18. election.

Rev. John Joseph Hayab, the state chairman of CAN, said in a statement, "Let us vote for leaders who will improve the lot of the state and build a safe, inclusive, secure and prosperous state."

CAN therefore pleaded with citizens to resist the temptation of incitement as there can only be one winner in the end, saying candidates must respect sportsmanship aimed at building a state whose everyone will be proud before, during and after the elections.

The association also demanded that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, be neutral, fair and genuinely independent to redeem its tainted image resulting from concerns of lack of transparency in the polls that just ended, adding that the INEC must ensure compliance with the provisions of the electoral law as amended.

He called on all eligible voters in the state to vote for the candidates of their choice, especially the aspirants who have demonstrated commitment to peace and unity among the diverse groups of people that 'they aspire to lead.

He applauded voters for conducting themselves peacefully before, during and after the elections, pointing out that voter turnout for the first time indicates a high level of arousal on the part of citizens to exercise their right universal vote.

The CAN State President hailed all Christians and citizens of the State for coming out to vote en masse in the Presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
