Armed men kidnap Benue commissioner and three others

Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu, has been kidnapped.

He was kidnapped alongside the Honorable Agbo Ode, one of his in-laws and the driver.

It was discovered that they were kidnapped along the David Marks farm, after Akpa Otobi, on their way from Otukpo to Utonkon in the Ado local government area of ​​the state.

The commissioner reportedly attended a Church program, where Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District, dedicated his newly inaugurated campaign council to God at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Otukpo and was traveling to his village of NDEKMA, Utonkon District of Ado LGA after the Church program before encountering the unfortunate incident at around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

His official vehicle had since been recovered from the scene and taken to the Divisional Police Office in Otukpo.
