Hackaday Podcast 177: Microscopes, telescopes, telephonoscopes and a keyboardoscope?
This week, Editor-in-Chief Elliot Williams and Editor-in-Chief Kristina Panos spoke as if they weren't thousands of miles apart. And we mean that literally: Kristina just got a high/low desk, and it turns out Elliot had the exact same one for years.
Kristina's phone is heavier than yours.Between the hammering on Kristina's house (she's got new siding), we start drooling over the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope, and let's compare some of them to the same Hubble shots.
We've managed to save some saliva for all the seriously bloated keyboards and non-keyboards we've seen throughout the Odd Inputs and Peculiar Peripherals contest, all of which are winners in our book.
This week we're asking the hard questions, like why would someone who's never played a guitar want to build one from scratch? We can only guess that the answer is simply "because I can". As lazy as that reasoning might sound, this version is anything but.
Later, we'll look at a sea of PS/2 keyboards and their new owner's portable test bench, complain about ASMR and laugh at a giant nose sneezing disinfectant.
