Heavily armed men kill village chief in Kano
Heavily armed men, in numbers, stormed the village of Maigari in Rimin Gado local government of Kano state on Sunday and shot and killed the village chief, Alhaji Dahiru Abba.
The armed men, according to an eyewitness, were riding a motorcycle.
A family source confirmed to the DAILY POST that the gunmen took nothing from the victim's house.
The village chief is also believed to be the father of the current chairman of the Rimin Gado council, lawyer Munir Dahiru Maigari.
Efforts to reach the Kano State PPRO, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa have not been successful at the time of filing this report.
