Thugs attack Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osun

An All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign committee office was vandalized in Ilesa, Osun State.

The campaign office was initially known as the political office of former state public works and transportation commissioner Remi Omowaye.

Recently, Mr. Omowaiye, the APC PCC spokesperson in Osun State, converted the office into the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office.

Sources said thugs, armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, invaded the facility around 8 p.m. on Saturday, sporadic shooting.

The campaign billboards of APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima have been destroyed. The APC flags mounted in the office were also damaged.

The building's main door and windows were also destroyed in the attack.

Governor Ademola Adeleke and his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, were at odds over vandalism of campaign posters and billboards and violent attacks in different parts of the state.

The governor accuses his predecessor of sponsoring the attacks and inciting the public against his administration.

A door riddled with bullet holes

But Mr Oyetola has refuted the allegations, saying it was the governor who sponsored the attacks on the APC .
