The guest, Nwabuno, said he stayed at the Queens Victory Guest House for four days and on the fifth day he begged the management for some time to get the funds to pay the bill. Nwabuno said he went out to withdraw the money when his wife, who had come to see him with their baby, called for the hotel manager to order them out and locked the door, a decision he was not happy.

Nwabuno, revealed that he called the hotel owner and they exchanged words after which the owner said he had to leave his hotel.

Nwabuno claimed the owner came to the hotel with a gun, threatening to shoot him and his family.

Hotel employee Charles Edet, who was also shot, revealed the couple were preparing to move out, when he saw hotel owner Mr Kingsley with a gun .

Nwabuno's wife, Mariam, said she was scared because it was the first time she had seen a gun. She said he also threatened to shoot her and her baby if she took another step.
