How We Killed, Sold Victim's Body Parts - Ogun Murder Suspects

Fate made my friend a victim of ritual murder - Abel

Three suspects arrested by Ogun State Police Command for alleged murder, dismemberment and sale of body parts speak to DAUD OLATUNJI about their involvement

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Idowu Abel and I am 30 years old. I am married with three children and my eldest is seven.

What do you do for a living?

I am an auxiliary nurse who treats patients in their homes. I learned the nursing assistant for three years.

How were you arrested?

I was arrested for the kidnapping and murder of my friend, Muyiwa (Adekunle). We only knew each other for about two months. He was a drinker, so we often visited each other. About a month ago Pastor Ajadi called me and told me to come to his house and that's where I met Boko, a herbalist. About a week later, Boko called me and told me to meet him. He told me he needed a human head, heart, hands and legs.

Why did he tell you he needed the body parts?

He only said he wanted to use them for a silver ritual.

What did he promise to give you back?

He promised to give me N200,000 if I helped him get them, and from that amount he gave me N80,000.

Did you voluntarily agree to help him recover the body parts?

Yes, I did. When I agreed to get him the roles, I discussed it with Clément, “Baba Christy”. When we came to an agreement to complete the task, Boko gave us an initial payment of N80,000 and we split it equally at N40,000 each. After splitting the money with Clement, we planned how to do the job. On November 10, we took Muyiwa to Ifako Farm where we killed and dismembered his body.

Who was Clement to you?

We knew each other in the same community. We both went to the same school as the pastor.

Didn't you bother to kill a human when you were planning to kill your friend?

I know he will never forgive me for what I have done. When I killed him, I didn't feel good doing it. I was scared.

Did you become friends with Muyiwa so you could kill him?

No, we had known each other for a while. We often went to a bar to drink alcohol together. We didn't even choose him (Muyiwa) as a victim; it was just fate that made him the victim.

How did you get him to the farm where you killed him?

We went to a bar to drink alcohol that day. I was the one who bought the booze that day and told him I wanted to go to Ifako, but he said he would follow me since we were dating. When we arrived he had a convulsion which made him weak and helpless on the ground. He often had seizures whenever he drank alcohol, so that was nothing new to me. That's when I killed him. I beheaded him with a machete on Clément's farm.

What do you deserve for what you've done?

Well, the Bible is clear. He says whoever kills with a machete will be killed with a machete. However, I do not know the judgment that will be given to me now but I recognize the fact that I am in serious trouble. So, I don't know what I can do for now.

I removed the heart of the victim, cut off his hands, his feet - Ajile

How are you related to this case?

My name is Clement Ajile. I am a 50 year old farmer from Owode in Ogun State. I have a wife and I'm lucky to have four children. I don't really know Boko (the herbalist) but Abel was close to him. Abel told me that Boko told him that he needed certain parts (of the body) like a head, hands, feet and a heart. So I asked him how he planned to get the human parts for Boko. We agreed to kill his friend on my farm and cut off his (body) parts.

He called me when he took his friend (Muyiwa) to my farm. Later, I went to meet them there. It looked like Muyiwa was drunk when I arrived because he behaved like someone with epilepsy. He rolled on the ground unconsciously when I arrived at the farm.

Did you know Muyiwa before he was killed?

No, I don't know him. Abel was near him. Initially, when Abel told me about the human parts Boko needed, he didn't know how to get them, but since he gave me N4...
