EPL: Lampard reveals why he spent a lot of time at Chelsea, insists Everton star won't join the Blues

Everton manager Frank Lampard has revealed why he spent most of his career at Chelsea.

The former Chelsea captain spent 13 seasons at Stamford Bridge and became the most successful player in the club's 109 years.

He won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the League Cup twice, the Europa League and the Champions League with the West London Blues.

The Everton boss appeared to the press on Friday ahead of their Premier League game on Boxing Day.

He said happiness kept him at Stamford Bridge while warning his former club and Manchester United were interested in goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

He is convinced that the Merseyside club can match the ambition of the English goalkeeper.

United and Chelsea have both been linked with moves for the former Sunderland star, but Lampard insists Pickford has everything he needs at Everton to enjoy a fulfilling career.

"Jordan is very happy at this club. That's the impression I have," he said.

"Maybe I was lucky enough to play a lot in the Champions League, but when I felt comfortable at a club, I arrived with a smile every day and looked forward to every game looking forward and if Jordan feels like that and we can match each other's ambitions, I don't see that as a problem.”
