I spent a week on the mega-ship Icon of the Seas and tried to experience EVERYTHING it offers, from a zip line on the side of the ship to a peek inside the cabin of the £116,000-a-week townhouse (with its own slide).

I'm spending a week on the world's largest cruise ship, Royal's Icon of the Seas Caribbean - and this is what it looks like.

Coming on board, I challenged myself: to try to discover everything that Icon of the Seas has to offer. I have a week - is this even possible?

If so, I plan to capture POV footage of it all: seven pools, six record slides and the new thrill “Crown's Edge” – a high-altitude ropes course where you hang from the side of the ship, 154 feet above the waves. Does this sound scary to you? Trust me, it does!

What grabs attention first is none of these things.

Instead, it's the stunning scenery. Technicolor is an understatement. The seats, swings, drinks, slides and carousel (yes, the ship has a life-size carousel) bring out every shade of the rainbow, as does the ship's giant pink flamingo mascot. ship!
