Ignore takeover rumours, BUK tells students and parents

Management of Bayero University in Kano State has dismissed as false and baseless reports posted on social media announcing the date of resumption of the institution.

This is contained in a statement by Mr. Lamara Garba, Deputy Registrar, Public Affairs, on behalf of the University Registrar and given to reporters on Monday.

"The attention of the management of Bayero University, Kano, has been drawn to false and unfounded information circulating on social networks, announcing the date of resumption of the institution.

"Members of the public, particularly students and parents, are therefore urged to disregard and ignore this information, as it is false and malicious," the statement added.
