I will be governor for all - Governor-elect of Ebonyi APC, Nwifuru swears
Ebonyi State Governor-elect Francis Nwifuru on Thursday vowed to use people's taxes to develop the state rather than running the state for the benefit of one or two people.
Nwifuru, the Ebonyi State Assembly Speaker, made this known while addressing stakeholders and the many supporters of the Labor Party, including its gubernatorial candidate (LP) , Edward Nkwagu, who paid him (Nwifuru) a courtesy visit to the President. lodge located along the road to Ezza, Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi state.
Governor-elect, Nwifuru has declared that he will not be governor for the interest of a few people but governor for all.
He has vowed to lead an inclusive government and welcome opposition members, especially Labor Party stakeholders, who ahead of the March 18, 2023 elections adopted him (Nwifuru) as their preferred candidate.
According to him: “It is essential that I welcome you (Labour, LP members) into my government because you have worked for it. I'm not going to be a Governor of one or two people.
“I will be Governor for everyone, because the taxes of the people that I will manage are for everyone. I know that it is easier to manage failure than to manage success, but I will make you proud. "
He also applauded the Action Alliance AA gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Chukwuma Nwandugo, who ended his ambition to support him (Nwifuru), and psychologically weakened the opponents, as well that paved the way for his victory at the polls.
Earlier in a remark, former Labor LP Guber candidate Edward Nkwagu said Nwifuru's victory is well deserved, emphasizing that the victory will be a unifying factor for all Ebonyians.
