In an interview with Saturday Beats, Egbuson noted that he wasn't ready to accept marriage anytime soon. He said: 'Marriage is not what I am considering at the moment. Relationships can be very distracting, given the level I'm trying to achieve in my international career. I feel like I need to focus."

The actor also said he was always himself whether on or off camera. He added: “The fans know that I am one hundred percent myself. The only way I would have been pressured was if I tried to be who I am not. On and off camera, even on social media, I'm the same. The Timini you see today is the one you will see tomorrow."
