Enugu North/South: Chimaobi Atu of the LP defeats Chukwuegbo, member of the PDP representatives for three terms
Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu of the Labor Party was declared the winner of the Enugu North/Enugu South Federal Constituency elections held on Saturday.
Declaring the result, INEC Returning Officer, Dr (Ms) Evelyn Ijeoma Ezepue announced that Hon. Labor Party's Chimaobi Atu scored a total of 65,247 to defeat his closest opponents, Hon. Nnonso Nnamani of APGA and Hon. Offor Chukwuegbo of the PDP.
Atu was therefore re-elected after meeting all the requirements of the law.
Details of the results showed that Chukwuegbo received a total of 7,617 votes, while Hon. Nnonso Nnamani got a total of 9215 points. APC candidate, Hon. Juliet Egbo obtained 2394 votes.
Atu is from Ndiaga Ugwuaji in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
