Iyorchia Ayu should be suspended for anti-party, not Fayose, Ortom – Wike

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has said that the People's Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu should be suspended from the party.

Wike said that Ayu should be suspended for anti-party activities.

He spoke in response to the suspension of former Governor Ayodele Fayose from Ekiti State, former Federation Government Secretary Anyim Pius and recommended Governor Samuel Ortom to Benue State to face a disciplinary commission.

However, Wike said that Ayu should face a disciplinary committee for anti-party activities.

The Governor spoke to reporters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Wike said Ayu lost his voting unit and neighborhood due to his fraudulent activities.

According to Wike: "If there is one person who deserves to be suspended, it should be you (Ayu), who played against the party by refusing to obey the party constitution on the zoning of offices policies as required. So whoever tells you can suspend people, please tell the person they are not serious.

"If you're talking about anti-party, it's you who couldn't even free your unit, free your neighborhood that's at fault. Because of the fraudulent activities you're involved in, people have lost hope in you."
