Jack Grealish claims England star is 'absolutely scary' because 'he can do anything'

Man City star Jack Grealish has praised England and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham as the teenager 'can do it all'.

Bellingham was crucial for England in Qatar and he shone in the Round of 16 win over Senegal on Sunday night.

The 19-year-old assisted Jordan Henderson for England's opener in the 3-0 win and he then started the move for Harry Kane's first goal of the tournament.

He also put himself on the scoresheet, breaking the stalemate in the opening 6-2 win over Iran, which has largely set the tone for England so far.

Grealish has now joined the list of names praising Bellingham as he agreed with Phil Foden, who said the former Birmingham man could become the best midfielder in the world.

"He's a top lad, honestly, he's such a great guy," Grealish said.

"So mature in the way he plays, he can defend, he can tackle, he can run the ball, he can score goals - he can do anything, honestly.

"Me personally, I knew he would shine at this tournament, honestly. I just knew he would, I think over the last year he has definitely improved a lot, a lot.< /p>

"I'd like to say he's matured, but he's only 19 so you can say that, but I feel like he's matured in the way he plays, he's so disciplined and all that and like I said, the kid can do anything with a ball.

"I don't want to put too much pressure on him because we have other brilliant players, Phil too, who is world class, but he's a brilliant boy and he's already so important to us. He He's only 19 and I'm sure he's got his whole career ahead of him, but if he continues like this he'll be absolutely scary."

There was only one area in which Grealish felt Bellingham should be found wanting: his loyalty to the club.

He told ITV Sport: "He's brilliant. He's got everything - the only thing he doesn't have is he's not a Villa fan, he's a bluenose , you can't have it all, can you!"

While Bellingham played a pivotal role in leading England to a tantalizing quarter-final against reigning world champions France on Saturday, Grealish had to settle for a small role.

The most expensive England player of all time played just 80 minutes in four substitute appearances, also getting on the scoresheet against Iran.

"I just got into games and obviously I want to play," he added.

"I would love to start every game and play 90 minutes, but I am also aware of the talent that surrounds me in my position, there is so much talent in these broad areas.

"Whatever my job is here, I'm happy to do it. I'm not going to sit here and just say I want to be on the bench, but I'll never sit there and be like a bad egg because I don't play.

"I wouldn't think, 'I want Phil or Bukayo (Saka) to hurt,' ever, because they're my teammates and I love them.

"I think that's one thing we have here, we're like a group of brothers who get along so well off the pitch and when we get on the pitch we're a great team, we're so tight as a team and I think that's what really helps us."
