Jamal Edwards: cocaine caused death of contractor, coroner finds
Cocaine caused the death of entrepreneur and YouTube star Jamal Edwards, a coroner has concluded.
An inquest was held at West London Coroner's Court into the death of Edwards aged 31 in February.
He was the son of musician and Loose Women host Brenda Edwards.
There was evidence of cocaine toxicity in the body of Edwards, Deputy Coroner Ivor Collett said, adding that the cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia, following cocaine use. p>
The coroner concluded that the cause of death was drug-related.
A toxicology report found there was evidence of cocaine use and the presence of cocai ne and alcohol which likely caused her death.
In June, Brenda Edwards said in a stat ment she was in a "state of shock" after finding out how he died, understanding that he had taken recreational drugs.
Former X Factor contestant and West star End said, "We have been so incredibly touched by the outpouring of love and support, and you are helping us all try to get through the unimaginable."
