Jordin Sparks says Chris Brown should have been at the AMAs, doesn't get the hate

Jordin Sparks says American Music Awards executives screwed up when they unplugged Chris Brown, and just like Kelly Rowland...she's shocked there's still debate about her place at these events.

We caught up with the singer outside of ABC Studios this week in New York, and she thinks Chris has been one of the best in the game for a while now, and absolutely should have been at the AMAs. .. to play and receive the trophy he won.

As you know, Chris told fans that the AMAs canceled his Michael Jackson tribute, and while the producers still haven't given a reason... Jordin seems to think it's because he beat Rihanna in 2009.

Granted, Jordan might be a bit biased -- she and Chris had a huge hit in 2008 with "No Air" -- but she says this incident "shouldn't even be a conversation anymore"... and Chris' enormous talent should be the center of attention.
