Judge Len Goodman Quits 'DWTS' After 17 Years: 'It's Been a Huge Pleasure'

DANCE WITH THE STARS -

After 31 seasons, Len Goodman is ready to leave the ballroom for closing time. During the November 14 episode of "Dancing with the Stars", Goodman announced that he would be leaving the show at the end of this season. He defined at one point in the post, "This may be my last season judging 'Dancing with the stars."" The crowd gasped at the information. He persevered, "I participated to the show because it started in 2005, and it's been a huge satisfaction to be a part of this kind of remarkable show, but I decided that I needed to spend more time with my grandkids and my family from new to Britain."

The crowd gave Goodman a standing ovation as his fellow judges - Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough - were in tears. "It's been such a party for me, and I'm looking forward to next week's final. I'm sure it will be really great," the seventy-eight-year-old said. The jury rose to offer him hugs to the applause of the crowd and the dancers. Host dubs him a "living legend".< /p>
