Lacoste calls on Bandier for the brand's first active collaboration with women

Lacoste and Bandier team up for the sport of style.

Together, the French fashion label and New York-based women's activewear retailer have created an activewear collaboration collection that draws on past and present codes, inspired by Lacoste's heritage and Bandier's modern American style. The complete collection includes more than 100 pieces.

With a common DNA at the intersection of fashion and fitness, the relationship between the brands has started in 2021 when Bandier founder Jennifer Bandier heard about Simone de la Chaume, wife of René Lacoste and former French golf champion, from Lacoste's creative team during the Roland Garros tennis tournament. Chaume had been an inspiration in the active women's category for Lacoste over the years and the conversation "planted the seed" for Bandier and Lacoste to team up. The objective of this partnership is to bring American women a new modern active offer inspired by the rich history of Lacoste.

"When I think of Lacoste, I imagine a brand that embodies rich tradition and timeless sophistication sportswear," Bandier said. "It's undeniably become a cornerstone of cultural influence, reminiscent of the classic elegance portrayed by Rob Lowe in the 1980s movie 'Class' (a staple). In recent years, Lacoste has transcended its roots and established itself as the embodiment of sport and the art of living. The Lacoste x Bandier collection celebrates the sport of style, fusing fashion and fitness from a Franco-American perspective."

Lacoste x Bandier collection styles include traditional sportswear in jewel tones and jacquard , from leggings and sports bras to lifestyle-inspired pieces including polo shirts, graphic tees, shirts and accessories. The campaign, inspired by Paris, was photographed by Quentin de Briey and celebrates friendship while showing the essence of a New Yorker who sees Paris through the eyes of a Parisian. Featured in the campaign are Joan Smalls and Luna Bijl.

The limited edition Lacoste x Bandier collection will be available monthly from Tuesday until December 15 on Lacoste and Bandier retail sites and websites, and with retail partners, including Saks Fifth Avenue, ShopBop, Nordstrom and other select boutiques. The collection will cost between $100 and $300 for key pieces.
