All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged people in Osun State to replicate the party's victory in the gubernatorial election. State of Ekiti last month.

Tinubu said so at the APC mega rally held at Osogbo Township Stadium on Tuesday in preparation for the July 16 gubernatorial election in the state.

According to Tinubu: "We came to ask you to vote overwhelmingly on Saturday for APC, not as a mark of rights but for the future of your children.

“Before you make your decision, think about the future. We are a party that guarantees your future because we are known to keep our promises. Let us put the affairs of our state in the hands of those who want to do business, not mushroom parties."

The mega APC rally was held with the assurance of 21 APC governors to secure the re-election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola as Governor of the State.

Addressing the crowd, Senate Speaker Senator Ahmad Lawan hailed Oyetola's prudence and efficiency in managing the state's meager resources, calling on citizens to look beyond political sentiments in their choice of who to elect and to vote overwhelmingly for Oyetola.< /p>

Lawan said, "I bring the solidarity of the National Assembly. We believe in this party and its candidate because Osun has undergone a serious and massive transformation over the past three and a half years.

"We have a prudent and efficient governor in the face of very meager resources. Today, Osun has witnessed so much infrastructural development, political stability and peace. We believe we have everything we need for development with our Governor."

In his remarks, the party's national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, said the mega rally was an indication that the APC was not taking any chances with Osun's business, saying the state deserved a leader like Oyetola in his quest. for development.

Adamu said, "This is a mega rally to promote our candidate. We take no chances with Osun's business because the state deserves a leader like Oyetola in its pursuit of development. That's why we came out in force to support him to secure his re-election. Those of righteous minds will testify that he has done so much since becoming governor in 2018.

"We are here not only to bear witness to what he has done but to call on you to turn out in large numbers to vote massively for him. We anticipate a better result than what we had in Ekiti and by the grace of God, we are sure of victory. I want you to be ambassadors for APC, telling those who are not there what you have seen. Keep spreading the good works of this government to the nooks and crannies of the state."

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum of Nigeria, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, assured that Oyetola has the support of all APC Governors in the upcoming elections, saying he earned it with his outstanding performance.< /p>

Bagudu also hailed the significant and landmark developments Osun has seen in all sectors since Oyetola's emergence.

Earlier, Chairman of the National Campaign Council for Osun Gubernatorial Election and Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu described Oyetola as deserving of another term based on his personal encounters with the people of the state.
