Ligue 1: Médine turns around after swearing to send Mbappé to the hospital
French Ligue 1 club centre-back Facundo Medina has apologized for threatening to put PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in hospital.
The defender had said he would send the France international to the hospital if he [Mbappe] dribbled past him.
However, the defender has now claimed the comments did not reflect his beliefs - on and off the pitch.
Mbappe is known for taking on defenders and dribbling them easily and scoring week after week in the French top flight.
The World Cup winner is a nightmare for defenders and has scored 19 goals in 26 appearances.
The Lensois defender said: "He's hard to score too, but you know me. If Mbappé passes in front of me, an ambulance would have to come and get him."
But in apologizing, he said: "I would never act this way towards a professional colleague, let alone someone I respect, because it does not reflect the values I hold as a as a man and as a professional."
