Mádé Kuti releases a new single "No more wars"

Madé Kuti, Grammy nominee and Afrobeat singer, has released a new single titled "No more wars" via Partisan Records on her upcoming album.

The single, composed, arranged and written by Mádé Kuti, was produced by GMK and Sodi Marciszewer, who recorded, mixed or produced Fela's last six albums.

The disc follows "For'e'ward", Mádé's first album released jointly with his father, Femi Kuti's album and Legacy+.

'Legacy+', a double album by Mádé and her father, was released on February 5, 2021.

It features an impressive vocal performance from the multi-instrumentalist, who preaches the need to embrace peace and reawaken true values during difficult times.

Mádé said his new music draws from a deep well and understanding of insecurity, world wars, and the tradition of Afrobeat storytelling to fuse soulful Afrobeat chords.

Speaking at the release of "No more wars", Mádé, who recently completed a tour of the United States with his father, Femi Kuti, and the Positive Force, said: "No More Wars is entirely a matter of temperament, control and focus. These are experiences I have had that have taught me to intentionally think before reacting.

I used horns and vocals to create a unique sound that will be a hit with young and old Nigerians and international audiences."

He said, "My dad's consistency inspires the lyrics to follow his path despite dealing with an overwhelming number of tough, fake, and willfully cruel people inside and outside of his circle."
