Mailchimp bans crypto content creators without prior notice New

Email marketing platform Mailchimp appears to have suspended its services to crypto content creators. Platforms associated with crypto news, content, or related services began experiencing issues logging into accounts, followed by notices of service outages that began surfacing this week.

Crypto-related accounts such as Edge Wallet, a self-custody crypto holding service provider, and Messari, a crypto research firm, were among those affected.

Early this morning, Sam Richards of the Ethereum Foundation tweeted that the Ethereum Foundation's ecosystem support program was also suspended.

Add @EF_ESP from @Ethereum Foundation to @Mailchimp's client list.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for email subscription services with strong API integrations? Or those who don't disconnect paying customers without any notification or justification? https://t.co/Cjg2kkqwoT

Cory Klippsten of Swan Private, a bitcoin investment advisory firm for businesses and high net worth individuals, also tweeted about the incident. Klippensten called on other industry marketing agencies to "step up" in light of this incident and others.

After Hubspot, Klaviyo, Twilio and Mailchimp all got caught by their crypto clients, it's time for the whole industry marketing communications/CRM software steps up their security A LOT.

And yes, we have taken additional measures. See @skwp thread above.
