While addressing the members of the NGE when he welcomed them to the Executive Chamber of the Governor's Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Makinde said he would leave the state in better shape if he was re-elected.

A statement from the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, said that the Governor, after the courtesy visit, then led the Guild members on an inspection tour of various projects including Methodist Model School, Bodija, Ibadan; Oyo State Security Network Headquarters named Amotekun; the 65 kilometer Moniya-Iseyin road, the 78 kilometer Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road; the ongoing 12 kilometer Apata-Bembo-Jankata road, Ibadan road; the ongoing dualisation of the airport road, Ibadan and the state-owned 500,000 seat capacity aviation fuel storage facility at Ibadan airport.

Addressing the Guild, led by its President, Mr. Mustapha Isa, at the Governor's Office, the Governor explained how his administration has managed to drastically reduce the state's infrastructure deficit through the alternative approach to project finance, saying, “Some of the projects you will see have been delivered through an alternative approach to project finance (APFA), which has been able to clean up the mode of delivery in the state. We all know what the country is facing in terms of resources, but we still have to go on. »

He added: “When we leave here, we will stop at a model primary school in Bodija. accelerated development (Omituntun 1.0).

"Omituntun 2.0 is about sustainable development. We were able to put things in place and we feel that once we have looked at the question of sustainable development, when I will have finished my work here , others can take over.

“From there we will pass the 65 km Moniya-Iseyin road. I can guarantee you that you will not see a single pothole on this road as it is a standard for our national roads. also on the Iseyin-Ogbomoso road, which is brand new. It did not exist before we arrived. It is a 78 km stretch of road connecting Iseyin to the Ogbomoso axis of the state. All bridges are done and the road itself is almost complete; we still hope to commission the project in January.

"We will see a CSP model in Iseyin because our goal is to have a functioning CSP in all 351 wards of the state. The idea is that people should not go beyond a radius of 1 km from their place of residence to access primary health care facilities.

"From there, we will return to Ibadan, and we can show you some of the infrastructure that we have been able to put in place.

"We will go to the airport. The road is being dualized and the airport itself is essential for the expansion of our economy. I tell people that if you want to develop your economy and that the airport only has one flight per day, that doesn't tell a good story, in fact we believe that planes should land and take off every 30 minutes in the airport if this is going to have an impact on the airport. economy.

"Once I had the opportunity to speak to one of the senior officials of Air Peace, they complained that they could not carry a full load of passengers to Ibadan because they had to take enough fuel to bring passengers and bring them back to Abuja.

“Thus, we were able to install an aviation fuel storage and distribution facility there. 2.7 km to 3.3 km Once we are able to do it, we can do other possible things around there.

“For this administration, the unique thing for us is that some of these projects were started by one of the former governors. extract value...
