A man kills a friend and buries a corpse in Kogi's apartment.

Men from the Kogi State Police Command arrested an as yet unidentified man for allegedly killing his friend, Kehinde Ajayi, and burying his body in his house around Felele, in the Lokoja region of the state.

Our correspondent has understood that the middle-aged suspect allegedly killed Ajayi on Sunday July 24, 2022 and secretly buried his body at his home.

A source, who spoke to our correspondent, said that the victim had purchased a Toyota Sienna vehicle registered LSD 228 HJ, and that the suspect allegedly lured him to a place in the community to celebrate the achievement.< /p>

The source said that after Ajayi, alongside the suspect and others, left for the scene, the victim was never seen again.

Ajayi's family, while lamenting his whereabouts, reportedly reported a missing person case to the nearest police station.

However, the investigation into Ajayi's disappearance in the community reportedly led to the arrest of a friend of his who gave useful information about what happened to him.

The source revealed that after the suspect allegedly killed Ajayi, he left with his car, adding that on Monday he took police officers to his house and showed them the place where he buried Ajayi's corpse.< /p>

However, some youths angered by the development started vandalizing the suspect's house after police exhumed Ajayi's corpse.

State Police Public Relations Officer SP William Ayah confirmed the incident.

He said, "The body of the late Ajayi has been found and the investigation is still ongoing to apprehend others who may have been involved in his murder."
