Man Utd fans to blame? Shoot the other…they've been 'patient' with Maguire and Pogba

Debate rages in the mailbox over whether Man Utd fans are partly to blame for the current mess at Old Trafford. Plus, only in Dutch, Man City Miracles, Nunez Judgment and much more…

Man Utd fans to blame? Shoot the other… There was a lot of abuse towards UTD players and it didn't start when Fergie left. The abuse is also not distributed by utd fans, it is the 'neutrals' who do. Beckham, Keane, Neville, Schmeichel, Cantona, Ronaldo (Mk I), Rooney and co were continually abused by their rivals. Abuse of Ronaldo Mk II has also been committed by tabloids and rivals - Utd fans will always love Ronaldo whether he stays or leaves, but most would probably be very happy for him to have a chance to win more trophies wherever he goes, if he leaves. But in the end, if he wants to go, the club should allow him to do what he wants - he gave us everything and we will always be grateful to him. United fans have shown enormous patience (hope) with a Paul Pogba and only really turned against him recently after several seasons of underperformance in the times of the season when he cares about being available for selection. Utd fans have also been patient with Maguire despite ridicule from the tabloids and other fans. There's still a good player in there when he puts on an England shirt so chances are he can find his feet at utd - maybe he just needs some time off.< /p>

Neutral fans also choose to regularly hit Rashford, Sancho, Fred and AWB in particular. Fred got probably the worst deal ever and none of his attackers gave him credit for going from a laughingstock to one of the top names on the team roster - there's an article in that- ci no one will write. I saw a player in Fred in his first season despite the criticism towards him and I'm very happy for him that he proved everyone wrong. AWB is abused by non-utd fans to a ridiculous extent despite still being one of the best defenders in the league. And it can help move forward, despite what tabloid opinion would have you believe. Sancho has just finished a difficult first season, he will get better, just like Rashford.

Utd fans rightly reserve their abuse for the way the club is run. Transfer deals are a mess, we waste money on bad positions, waste money on aging players and somehow tie players to contracts that no other club does could compete. We cannot sell our players because other clubs cannot afford to buy out their contracts or pay anything close to their salary. Until that changes, Utd will struggle to improve. But whether he changes or not has no impact on my loyalty to the club, the players and the managers I have supported for 40 years.

If the club expects an instant return to the Champions League, the manager's ride will continue. If fans expect it, they aren't too smart either. Getting back to the top is a long-term project that can only begin when we realize it and stop with the short-term strategies for instant success that prove so entertaining to our rivals. Jon, Cape Town (when Chelsea and City unlocked the cheat codes still needed a long term plan to convert to success)

Lee mistook match fans for internet keyboard warriors, match fans have been behind every manager and every player was as your troll spouted racist vitriol and wild theories with gay abandon. So, no true fan needs to be blamed for the current malaise which is purely at the feet of the owners and the puppets like Woodward they employ. Paul Murphy, Manchester

Dutch only…Why does United, or rather, why does Ten Hag continue ONLY for Dutch players? OK! They are undoubtedly good players, whom he knows, because he has worked with them before. But, we don't collect the fucking Dutch national team here. We are trying to put together a new formation, that of Man Utd.

Get German players, or Spanish or Italian players. Or even unknown South Americans. And… For God's sake… Get Paulo Dybala. He is now free. We were after him before. And no one else is going for it, yet. And why, oh why, do we bother with Frankie de Jong? It's been going on for over a month now, and we want and need players. And we need them to make a decision. He's apparently not even for sale, according to Barcelona. Or at least their president. He doesn't want to come to United. He already said it.

He is definitely like Cristiano Ronaldo. In this, he does not want to play in the Europa League next season. ...
