MBGN organizers reveal 2022 nominees

The contestants for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2022 pageant were revealed by organizers, Silverbird Group, on Friday.

The Silverbird Galleria Cinema, Victoria Island, Lagos, was honored by the presence of organizers and selected contestants from various states, including the Federal Capital Territory.

The event, which will crown this year's winner, will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Eko Hotel and Suite, Lagos. The winner will represent Nigeria in the Miss World beauty pageant, while the first, second, third and fourth runners-up will represent the country in the Miss Universe, Miss Supranational, Miss ECOWAS and Miss Tourism beauty pageants respectively.

Dignitaries at the unveiling included Silverbird Group Chairman Guy Murray-Bruce; MBGN 2021 winner Oluchi Madubuike; stylist, Sari Ajaj; and international choreographer, Juliette Hagerman.

In his remark, Murray-Bruce thanked the contest partners who have supported him thus far. He also promised that the event would be great.

In an interview with Merrymakers, reigning MBGN Queen Madubuike shared her experience since being crowned. She also advised contestants to work hard and keep their dreams valid.

She said, "My experience is a rollercoaster and life changing. I think the opportunity I got is one that a lot of girls in this room are hoping for because it's was very happy. I went to Puerto Rico for Miss World. I was also able to help children with cancer, a project I worked on.

"My biggest piece of advice will be that candidates need to work hard and keep their dreams valid. More importantly, they need to be present in the moment. I really want them to enjoy this experience."
