"Whenever I have the chance to come back and play for the club, it gives a lot of excitement," said the 32-year-old, who made his Durham debut in 2011.
" Whether it's on the pitch with Durham or England it's always a special time to be back home can't wait to help Durham win cricket matches in the near future whenever I get the chance to put on the shirt."
Wood won 10 wickets in three league games at the start of the 2021 season, the last time he played for the club b.

"Although due to his international commitments, we might not see him too often, whenever he plays for the club his influence on and off the pitch is extremely valuable.
