Meghan Markle says she was never treated as black before the royal family

Netflix's explosive documentary about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle isn't just a shot at the royal family on racism - it also reveals her perspective, as she says, people didn't treat me like a "black woman" before moving. England.
In Episode 2 of "Harry & Meghan"... she says she never thought race would play such a big role in her marriage to Harry -- because growing up in L.A. as a mixed-race woman, being different hadn't been a problem for her.
Meghan says: "Now people are very aware of my race because they have made it such an issue in the UK."
She added that before that, "most people didn't treat me like a black woman," and as a result, she and her parents had never "talked about" racism in America...like the do most black parents.

The couple were also candid about their engagement in November 2017...claiming the proposal was anything but natural, with Meghan laughing at the "orchestrated reality".

On a much more serious note, Harry talks about his infamous costume - he dressed up as a Nazi for a party in 2005 - and calls it "the biggest mistake of my life".
