Moncler unveils the film "The mark of the extraordinary"

THE MONCLER FILM: As it continues to reach out and build its community, Moncler has launched its first nationally broadcast film, titled "The Brand of Extraordinary," narrated by Grammy Award-winning artist Alicia Keys. The film, which traces the trajectory of the brand since its founding in 1952, is now published on Moncler's social and digital networks.

The film is part of Moncler's 70th anniversary celebrations, which included a performance in the Piazza Duomo by Milan during Milan Fashion Week which drew a crowd of 18,000. The show was opened by Teatro alla Scala di Milano prima ballerina Virna Toppi and featured 1,952 performers – representing the year Moncler was founded – and all wearing a white Moncler Maya 70 jacket. The company said Friday that all anniversary-related content has so far reached a global reach of nearly 2 billion.

Keys is a friend of the company, as she was asked to host the Moncler Mondogenius presentation in Milan last September, and was the first personality chosen by the brand for its new Moncler Select project – a digital service offered on the brand's website where prominent names from the worlds of entertainment, fashion, sport and business were invited by Moncler to select selections of products to buy editorials.

"Difficult is not the enemy: boring is", is one of scripted comments Keys makes to narrate the short film, which alternates stunning mountain views with fashionable looks, including, for example, large designs by Pierpaolo Piccioli for the Genius project. "From that very first day, we've been the hallmark of the extraordinary, inspiring everyone to conquer their greatest heights, whatever they may be," says Keys.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, as noted, Moncler will hold the multicity event "Extraordinary Expedition", in New York, London, Tokyo and Seoul and there will also be a Chinese leg from October 20 which will be entirely virtual, available on personal WeChat profiles.

Ruffini asked seven designers to revisit the Moncler Maya jacket, which will be launched weekly from October 15. They are Francesco Ragazzi of Palm Angels; Thom Browne; Fujiwara of Frgmt; Rick Owens; Giambattista Valli; Pierpaolo Piccioli and Pharrell Williams.
