More injury problems for France as Nkunku emerges from training
November 16 - France suffered another blow on the eve of the World Cup after exciting RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku (pictured) limped out of training on Tuesday.
The World Cup holders were already without midfielders Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante and defender Presnel Kimpembe.
Nkunku tops the Bundesliga goalscoring charts this season with 12 goals in 15 games and is set to be replaced by Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The French Football Federation have confirmed that the 25-year-old has suffered a left knee injury. "The entire group shares Christopher's sadness and wishes him a speedy recovery," a statement read.
France boss Didier Deschamps is also sweating over the physical condition of Raphael Varane, who is recovering from a knee injury suffered on October 22.
