Weddings can be a trippy thing...especially these days, when the wedding party goes completely psychedelic with shrooms!!!
There's a super interesting trend: trading mushrooms for alcohol. Many people, especially millennials, don't want that horrible champagne hangover the next day, so they choose to party with mushrooms...usually in the form of delicious chocolates.
Yes, it's a hallucinogen, but it's become very common for relieving anxiety and depression and for many people it's just a pleasant experience...within limits. It's better to get drunk.
A 35-year-old wedding guest told The Times, "I think it's a combination of not being married for two years and the younger generation moving away from the p***** , which can make people get pretty mad. With that, everyone was having a good time."
The catch, of course, is that when someone stumbles in a large crowd, it can cause chaos, and that's also a reality.
