NACOMYO will start a 3-day da'wah retreat in Abeokuta on January 13

THE Seventh Da'wah Retreat of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO), the umbrella body for young Muslims in Nigeria, will be held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from 13-15 January.

According to a statement, the three-day event themed "Towards a New Nigeria: Youth on Call" will attract over 250 delegates from Nigeria's 17 southern states.

The statement read, "The program will include paper presentations, technical sessions, a stakeholder meeting and prayers for the nation. A statement is expected to be released at the end of the event.

“Courtesy visits will also be paid to the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun; the Wakili Musulumi of Yorubaland, Sheikh Isqeel Lawal (aka Sugar), and the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Sa'adallah Bangbola.

"The solemn opening takes place on Yaomal Sabt, 21 Jumadal Thanni 1444AH (Saturday 14 January 2023) from 10 a.m.

"The outgoing Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan, Prof. Afis Oladosu, will deliver the keynote address at the event scheduled for Sa'adatu Abbadiyah National Mosque, Leme, Abiola Way , Abeokuta, Ogun State, while the Chief Medical Director of Abeokuta Federal Medical Center, Prof. Semiu Musa Olomu, will serve as its Chairman.”
