New arrivals and returnees flock to provisional Paris timetable

PARIS — Spring 2023 is here, according to the tentative Fashion Week schedule of Paris.< /p>

With a total of 105 events, including 64 shows and 41 presentations, and 11 new brands on the program, it will be nine busy days from September 26 to October 4.

The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode published its preliminary calendar on Friday, unveiling a quasi- fully physical schedule.

Only Uma Wang, Shiatzy Chen, Kimhekim and Calvin Luo should show their collections digitally only, due to current travel restrictions with Asia.

Digital content will continue to be broadcast on the federation's dedicated platform, ranging from pre-recorded films to livestreams and post-show edits.

Kicking off the season is LVMH award semi-finalist label Weinsanto, designed by Victor Weinsanto, 28, with his 5 p.m. scheduled debut on September 26.

Victoria Beckham's inaugural Parisian show will take place at 5:30 p.m. on September 30, the first show of its new design team led by Design Director Lara Barrio.

The other two competitors, the Australian label Zimmermann and the London company A.W.A.K.E. Mode, will air later in the week, at 2:30 p.m. on October 3 and 12:30 p.m. on October 4, respectively.

AZ Factory, which announced in June that it would transform into a multi-brand retailer and showroom, will close on the penultimate day of the week at 8 p.m. October 3.

On the program, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Valentino, Givenchy and Off-White, betting on a show star-studded tribute to its late founder Virgil Abloh in March.

The conspicuous absentee is Céline, whose return to the calendar on June 26 was accompanied by a K-pop pandemonium sideshow outside the venue as fans jostled to catch a glimpse of Blackpink's Lalisa Manobal, BTS member Kim Tae-hyung, better known as V, and his best friend, the actor Park Bo-gum.

On the last day of the spring 2023 women's season, Chanel, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton will resume their pre -pandemic taking the 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. slots on October 4.
