1. Ahead of the presidential elections in February 2023, five governors elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, gathered in Enugu State on Sunday to discuss who they would give their support to. Inside sources, however, said the discussion centered on how to deliver Labor Party presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi in 2023.
2. Amid his presumed death, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, said he was healthy, healthy and ready to serve Nigeria from day one. Tinubu made the claim in a statement accompanying a video of his fitness posted on Sunday via his verified Twitter page.

5. Gunmen last weekend abducted the traditional ruler of Owa Onire, the Onire of Owa-Onire in Isin Local Government Area in Kwara State, HRH Abdulrahaman Ifabiyi and his driver . It has been discovered that the monarch and his driver along with one of the yet to be identified natives of the town were abducted at gunpoint while returning from a social function.

7. Kwara State Police Command said its officers arrested a doctor, Adio Adeyemi, from Kaiama General Hospital, for alleged kidnapping and murder of two women. Adeyemi allegedly kidnapped and killed his girlfriend identified only as Ifeoluwa, and another housewife, Nofisat Halidu, in 2021.
8. The leadership of the House of Representatives will meet with Speaker Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday over the ongoing strike by members of the Union of Academic Staff of Universities.
9. A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced a retired police officer, Ariwayo Oloyede, alias Oyinbo, to one year in prison for human trafficking. The ex-policeman was convicted alongside a Nigerian based in Burkina Faso, Christian Owanebi, who was sentenced to seven years in prison for the same offense by Judge Abimbola Awogboro.
10. Flooding resulting from heavy downpours in Adamawa State claimed 37 lives. The Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), which confirmed the human loss, said another 58 people were injured.
