Nigerians Who Voted Tinubu Now Regret - PDP

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, has said that Nigerians, who voted for President Bola Tinubu, now regret losing their votes.
PDP Chairman in Ondo State, Fatai Adams, said in a statement signed by the party's publicity secretary, Kennedy Peretei, in Akure on Tuesday.
According to the party, the president's few months have brought untold hardship to Nigerians.
Adams, who was reacting to Ondo State Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC in the state, Ade Adetimehin, who said the PDP was on the verge of extinction.
He said it was rather the APC and its inhumane government that are responsible for the suffering and agony of Nigerians over the past eight years.
According to him, "Adetimehin is probably the only person who ignores the fact that the people of Ondo State hold his party, the APC and his inhuman government, responsible for their suffering and agony of the past eight years.
Adams, added that "especially the removal of the fuel subsidy and its biting effect on everyone.
"He fails to realize that even those who were tricked into voting APC in the 2023 general election are already regretting and lamenting their miscalculation which has caused untold hardship for them and their families.
"Such a man, if he has any sense of shame and responsibility, should have been on his knees begging the people for the enormous misfortune orchestrated by his party.

Reacting to his members' defection to the ruling party in the state, Adams said "the majority of the 203 councilors that Adetimehin famously joined his party have not been active in the last two cycles elections in Ondo State.
"A few of them have been in the APC since 2016. How the defection of these characters results in the extinction of the PDP can only be understood by someone like Adetimehin who chairs an APC dangerously fragmented in the state but misleads with amusement-seeking decamps telling him moonlit tales.
"The PDP in Ondo State is unfazed by a few people who are on a self-destruct mishap in the sinking of Adetimehin's APC vessel.
“While we sympathize with such people, it is pathetic that those who should be crying are dancing and rejoicing.
"But before long, the reality will dawn on them that indeed, they have been living a lie all along.
The party chairman said that "the PDP cannot disappear, there are no such signs. And it never will."
