Holden Caulfield is a whiny little brat who's more punk than literary hero...according to Jahkara Smith, who has one hell of a catch that's set Twitter on fire.

The 'NOS4A2' star posted a video this week that analyzes the main character of J.D. Salinger's 'Catcher in the Rye' - focusing on one scene in particular, where she says HC got what it was deserved...and that the kid really sucks if you look at him as a whole.

Jahkara explains that Holden has an idealistic view of women, but when it comes to keeping busy, he's not exactly up for it - as evidenced by an encounter with a prostitute, which he ends up paying for. JS POV...serves him well because he was wasting this worker's time.

She goes on to suggest that he is actually a modern school shooter's plan...because as soon as he is manhandled, he has visions of killing the prostitute/pimp.

There's a lot more to his book review, so mind yourselves, but let's just say a few on the bird app don't take his analysis of what's considered a classic very well American. We'll spare you all the tweets, but basically...some argue that she's simplistic in her character breakdown and dissects him without much-needed context.

For starters, people are in his endorsements defending Holden...saying he's obviously a troubled youngster dealing with major trauma (death of a brother) and likely sexual abuse.

It's unclear if Jahkara has dealt with this, but anyway...she seems to think the novel just isn't all it's made out to be. In fact, there's a decent number of people who agree with her - saying the premise of this teenager trying to preserve his innocence is... a little lame.
