“Our recently revamped anti-vandalism team arrested 15 suspects for alleged criminal conspiracy and illegal trafficking of petroleum products. We seized seven trucks with a combined capacity of 315,000 liters of illegally acquired petroleum products,” he said. -he announced.

Eluwade said investigations are underway to determine whether the product is crude oil or High Pour Fuel Oil (HPFO) as the suspects claim, noting that samples of the products have been obtained and will be taken for analysis forensics in an NNPC laboratory. , after which the suspects will be brought to justice.

He further stated that according to preliminary investigations, the consignment notes presented by the suspects showed an expired license to sell petroleum products and warned that the body would not tolerate any form of crime, economic sabotage or vandalism of critical government infrastructure in the state.
