International telecommunications giant NTT expects the power consumption of generative AI models and value-based pricing to be among the biggest challenges facing businesses as they scale towards wider adoption and integration of this burgeoning technology.

During a panel discussion at the VentureBeat Transform 2023 conference on Wednesday with NTT VC founding partner Vab Goel, NTT Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President Takashi Hiroi predicted that new guidelines and resilient global systems will help mitigate some of the damage predicted by experts today.

"This approach is no different from building conventional systems integration systems," Takashi said.
