Offensive Video: Delete, Apologize to Muslims, Move On - Shehu Sani to Davido

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Senator Shehu Sani, advised Davido to delete his recent controversial video tweet.

The singer was attacked on Saturday following a controversial video of his signee, Logos Olori's new single "Jaye Lo", which he tweeted on his official handle.

Several Muslims issued an ultimatum to Davido to delete the tweet within 24 hours.

However, the singer seems to have shrugged off the backlash, as the video illustrating some sensitive Islamic content remains on his page.

Reacting, Sani, a former lawmaker, took to his Twitter account on Sunday to offer the singer advice.

According to him, since the tweet became controversial and his fans took offense to it, Davido should have deleted the content.

He wrote, "As an artist or performer, if your fans feel offended by any track or part of your work, especially regarding their culture, faith, or religious beliefs, it will be highly honorable for you to remove or edit that part, apologize to them, and move on. I'm talking about Davido here. That's my opinion."
