Olympian Kim Glass left bloodied after attack on homeless man, video shows

Video taken within seconds of Kim Glass being attacked on the streets of Downtown L.A. has emerged... and it shows blood being splattered all over the former volleyball star as she was sitting injured on the sidewalk.

Benson Parks captured the footage on his phone over the weekend, moments after Glass, who won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was apparently hit by a heavy object thrown by a homeless man standing next to her on the street.

You can see in the clips, there were several pools of blood near Glass, who was holding a bandage near his eye and screaming in pain.

The video also shows Parks holding the man believed to have thrown the object.

As we reported, Glass claims the incident happened after he finished having dinner with a friend.

"He just looked at me with pretty hateful eyes," Glass said of the attack. "And, as I turned to go and say to my friend, 'I think something's wrong with him and I think he's going to hit a car', before I knew it, a big metal bolt, like a pipe, hit me right here."

"It happened so fast."
