Olympic Eagles step up training ahead of Tanzania clash

The U23 men's national team, also known as the Olympic Eagles, continued their preparation on Friday ahead of the upcoming U-23 Africa Cup of Nations 2023 qualifying match against the Tanzania against Tanzania.

Gold medalists at the Men's Olympic Football Tournament in Atlanta in the United States in 1996, silver medalists 12 years later in China and bronze medalists in Brazil six years ago, the he Nigeria team is currently training in Ibadan, the state capital of Oyo.

On Friday, the team carried out a series of intense tactical exercises and drills under the watchful eyes of the technical team led by Coach Salisu Yusuf, with Kennedy Boboye, Abubakar Bala and goalkeeping coach Suleiman Shuaibu also on hand.

The team trained twice a day at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, where they will host the second leg of the game against the East Africans on Saturday October 29.
