Eskinazi followed up his 146 not out in Durham on Sunday with 182 from 136 balls in his team's 351-7.

James Bracey's 104 not out for Gloucestershire condemned the Group 1 leaders Notts to a five-wicket defeat.

Elsewhere, Durham beat Somerset, Lancashire beat Worcestershire and incumbents Glamorgan lost to Yorkshire.

Durham's nine-point win came despite the efforts of Ben Green, who hit 12 sixes in an 84-for-157 shot ultimately a losing cause.

Middlesex got off to a good start in Radlett with Mark Stoneman (23) and Sam Robson (18) content to play supporting roles. support as Eskinazi launched into his shots from the start.

Ryan Patel, however, hit 50 out of 52 bullets and kept accelerating, only needing another 31 deliveries to move into triple digits before finally skiing Martin Andersson halfway on 118 - and Surrey were eventually knocked out for 249 in the 42nd over.

After two wins from two, Nottinghamshire got off to a flying start in Gloucestershire as fly-half Sol Budinger and Ben Slater (34) put 77 on 10 overs.

Budinger ran 89 on 55 balls before being caught long-off bowling spinner Tom Smith, but his dismissal caused a 151-3 drop to 199-7.

Luke Chappell (32) and Brett Hutton (28) added 52 for the ninth wicket, the latter being knocked out by Jack Taylor on the last ball of the innings as they were all out for 294 .
