Police on the trail of thugs for raiding Enugu station – Official

The Enugu State Police Command says its officers have started tracking down the masked thugs who attacked Inyi Police Station in the Oji River Local Government Area of ​​the state .

Command Spokesman Daniel Ndukwe, Deputy Superintendent of Police, gave the confirmation to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Sunday.

PREMIUM TIMES had earlier reported that the thugs, numbering about six, attacked the police station, killing a police officer and a civilian in the area.

The thugs also razed the establishment, a one-story building.

The police spokesman, however, did not give the timing, material or human victims involved in the attack.

A witness, who sought to remain anonymous, said the thug attacked the station at 8am on Sunday.
