OpenSea, the digital marketplace for crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has launched a new initiative to make it easier for creators to create and distribute NFTs on its marketplace.

As part of this immersive new initiative, creators will be able to launch their NFT collections on their own customizable and dedicated drop pages, which the company hopes will enable greater visibility and discoverability on the new market homepage. In customizable drop pages, creators will now have the ability to share images and videos, provide team highlights, set roadmaps, and more. According to the ad:

“Deposit pages will contain deposit information, minting schedule, countdown timer and of course an NFT gallery. We will also allow collectors to set email alerts or add them to their calendar to remind them when to return to like-new condition."

Project repositories on Opensea will also have access to SeaDrop, a new secure open source smart contract that will ease the repository experience, saving creators the time and techniques needed to create their own custom smart contracts. Opensea shared:

"Developing a secure smart contract capable of orchestrating multi-stage deliveries is one of the most important and technically complex elements, and creators can now skip this stage entirely using SeaDrop."

In August, Cointelegraph reported that Opensea volume had plummeted, with massive drops in daily and monthly trading on the platform. The market went from processing $405.75 million in transactions on May 1 to just $5 million in NFT transactions on August 28.
