Oppenheimer Director Christopher Nolan Recalls Al Pacino's Greatness 'Been There, Done That'

Al Pacino is so good at his craft you can blink and miss him.

Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan recalls a time when Pacino declined a note from the director, insisting he had "done this before".

The film was a 2002 thriller Insomniastarring Pacino.

"I went to see Pacino after a series of takes and gave him a note on what I wanted," Nolan told The Los Angeles Times.

"He said to me, 'I've done this before'. You can't see in the eyes, but I did it on the dailies." I looked it up and I was like, 'Oh my God,' because there it was."

Nolan added, "Great movie actors can do this."
