Osogbo queen's ex-husband accuses her of blocking access to her daughter

Professor Adekunle Oloki, a US-based university professor, has accused his ex-wife, Kafayat, of preventing him from having access to their daughter.

Oloki had dragged his ex-wife, who is now married to the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, to a customary court in Erin-Osun.

He told the court when the hearing resumed on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, that his ex-wife had refused to let him have contact with their daughter since she took her to the palace.< /p>

The defendant's attorney, S.B. Ajibade, however, told the court that Oloki had abandoned his daughter and had shown no serious interest in seeing his daughter.

Asafa Olaore, the plaintiff's lawyer, said the claim that his client did not attempt to talk to his daughter was false.

Olaore explained that several efforts made to speak to the girl were always frustrated by her mother, Kafayat.

The lawyer posited that the access does not have to be physical, but the woman did not allow the plaintiff to speak to her child at all.

Presiding Judge K.B. Adeyinka, while adjourning the case to February 27, 2023, for hearing, advised the two lawyers to settle the access issue between themselves.
