Osun disavows FG appointment, leads investigation

The Osun State Government on Monday distanced itself from the Federally Appointed Head of National Social Response Programs, Mr. Kehinde Ibitoye, and ongoing programs planning with Microsoft and Fidelity Bank.

A statement from the governor's spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, obtained in Osogbo on Monday, said Ibitoye's recent activities were damaging the government's reputation.

The government also said it was not part of any scheme involving Microsoft Corporation and Fidelity Bank, and accused Ibitoye of dropping the names of state governor Ademola Adeleke, and state government.

The same text read: “The state government claimed that Mr. Ibitoye was an official appointed by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and that his recent activities had damaged the reputation of the government of the state, calling on local and national agencies and private sector organizations to be wary of soliciting said Ibitoye in relation to the state government.

“The Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has also led an in-depth investigation into the activities of the said Mr. Ibitoye with a view to generating an action report with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs . »

Efforts to get Ibitoye's reaction failed, as text messages and calls to his line were not answered.
